I figured the place would be full of kids playing Halo3 since the release. The wierd thins is, is that all the kids that used to come and play Halo 2, have now switched to TF2. TF2 is even getting more play than CS lately. We'd like to see what you've got to say about this. There's a forum link below.
Just a re-post from something brought up on the forums. There's some decent information here, spoilers, unlockables, etc... If you're a Halo 3 Fan, you should definitely check this out.
This weekend (oct.6th), We will be running the first halo 3 tournament of hopefully many. We just thought we would let everyone on here know about it.
The brackets will be double elimination unless there is to many teams then i have no choose but to go single. It will be a team only tournament. Entry fee will be 40$ per 4v4 team. With cash prizes depending on how many people show up. We welcome people to bring in there own setups, Xboxs, and so on. Please make sure you bring your own controller as we don`t have 5 million on them. We will reread all rules and talk about prizes before we start that day.
More teams = more money, and more people = more tournaments. Anyways, let all your buddies know about this up and coming tournament. We hope it will be huge. Start time 2:00 p.m End time: 10:00 p.m. At the latest
So we finally got our network figured out and got all the ports forwarded properly to get a server up. First one up is a Team Fortress 2 server. It runs real nicely, is stable, and has a really good ping when your at the gaming centre (constant ping of 5 ;-) ). Unfortunately there isn't an admin mod out there for it yet, so we will need to wait off on that (and we wont be needing any admins, sorry). So without further waiting, heres the IP: 72.38.76.18:27015 - WindsorGaming.com TF2 Server
Today was a big day for the console gaming community. One of the most, (if not THE most), anticipated console games of this year was released. Halo 3. We had our crew at a few of the lineups outside local stores, with the Halo 3 Van (it was actually my moms van that we dressed up with some chalk spraypaint). We had 2 of our TV's hooked up inside the van with a nice big generator provided by Home Hardware (I believe), as well as 2 of our Xbox's with 4 controllers for some Halo 2 action while people were waiting in line. Our first stop was at Future Shop, where there was a small line of possibly 10 people waiting outside the store. There were a few employees who stepped outside the store wondering what was going on, and were rather impressed with the setup we had. We then went to Best Buy, which was much the same, with a bit of a bigger lineup, but the same response from both the Halo fans and the store employees, then there was finally EB Games at Devonshire mall. The Halo fans had a good time, but the mall cops had to be their usual self and kick us out right as we were leaving. We went back to Future Shop till they released the game at Midnight, got ourselves another copy of it, and went back to stay open till 5am for a few people to come by and play for free. All in all it was a good night, we had a 4v4 game at each stop, winners got 1 free hour. Thanks to all the people who helped out and for the good responses, hope to see you all at the WGC sometime soon.
We have some video footage that we are trying to edit, we hope to have a video up within the week (if we can get it all off the camera, and get a program to edit it, as well as master said program)
Ok so we we're in the middle of a heated computer build. There was tension in the air, as Rob and I assembled his 4000$ piece of machinery. Ok, I'll cut the BS and glorification. I stuck my hand in the top 200mm fan. It shaved off the skin on one finger, got jammed under my fingernail on my middle finger, and busted one of the fan blades off. Rob's computer is now an Antec Nine Hundred rumble pack...
