New Pricing
Written by Colin
Saturday, 30 June 2007

After going over the budget and realizing in order to keep the gaming centre open, we will need to raise the prices as of August 1st. We really don't want to have to do this, but it's the only way we can afford to keep the place open.  The prices can be viewed by clicking the link below, it goes to the forums.

If you wish to buy hours in advance, before the prices go up, you are more than welcome to do so.

Ok so I finally worked out the problem with the forms. If you have already registered for the Halopalooza tournament, please do so again. If you have not registered yet, DO IT! We have a limited amount of room so we limited the number of teams competing.
Unregistered teams/members will NOT be allowed in.

General news update
Written by Colin
Wednesday, 27 June 2007

I hope everyone had a great time at the fireworks.  I'd like to thank the 5 true gamers who came out to WGC tonight :)

I just have two quick things.  One is that we almost have the new prices set-up.  All we have confirmed now is the hourly rate of 5$ and 7$ for 2 hours.  We have LOT of different hourly options as well.

The second is that I need a writer, someone that is currently taking a university or college level journalism.  I’m looking for someone willing to do some research and a LOT of writing.  You will be writing mainly to newspapers, special interest groups, the city of Windsor, and press releases.  If anyone is interested please contact me ASAP.

Ok so for sure now we will be rasing our prices as of August 1st.  New prices will be posted shortly once they are decided on.  I am hoping our current client base will stick with us.  It's something we cannot avoid.  Unless someone has connections with some alternative power company...  Anyways, that's it for now.  I'm a little depressed about it, but hey, I'm a trooper.  Cheers everyone.

SSB Tournament

On: Super Smash bros. Melee: tournament!

ATTENTION: there will be a Super Smash Bros. Melee tournament on June 15, 2007 at 5:00pm. Windsor Gaming Center will be supplying the systems. However, they will not be supplying the controllers, and games. If anyone who is participating please bring your super smash bros. melee game for gamecube please do so, we will be needing about 3-4 games. (I will be bringing one) also memory cards, with the data with all characters and levels will be needed.

IF we don't get enough then the progress of the Tournament will lag. Controllers: Make sure to bring your own controller. no controllers with a turbo trigger or anything of the sort will not be allowed.(put your name on your controller so there is no confusion at the of the tournament, if you wish)

The Game: when you first arrive we'll be playing free for all matchs for warm up and to socialize with your fellow smashers. I don't want this period to be too long becuase each player has to pay by the hour. ($3.00/hour) or ($5.00 for 2 hours) The tournament time length is unknown; it depends on how many people show up.

The Tournament: each player will pick one character at the begging and use that character only(choose wisely). The match ups will be selected randomly. I am undecided on the Tournament format process, that info. will be supplied later next week. The games will be 3 stocks, no items, no time limit, and random levels. However, the ohly levels available on random will be as follows: Singles Stages on random – Final Destination, Dream Land 64, Fountain of Dreams, Battlefield, Yoshi’s Story And Pokemon Stadium.

Lets have fun guys and get as many people as we can to join. Further instructions will be explained later on. If you have any questions , type one on the message board. The champions of this tournament will be posted on the web site. We hope to have more tournaments in the future, possibly involving cash prizes. But this tournament is meant to just get to know people who play smash, to see what levels people are at, and to have fun. If you are entering the tournament please type a message on the message board saying "Yes i'm playin" so I have an idea of how many people are entering.
